Privacy policy

This site sets no cookies, has no accounts and runs no advertising or analytics products. What it does collect is listed below in full.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Jovan Panetie, 5 Rue Castelnau, 21000 Dijon, France, SIREN 849268958. For any question or request about your data, write to contact@bidyoursaas.lol.

What is collected

1. A random visitor id, in your browser's local storage

To count how many people are on the site, your browser generates a random identifier and stores it in localStorage under bidyoursaas.visitor. It is sent to us on page load and roughly every thirty seconds while the tab is visible.

This is not a cookie and it is not linked to anything else. It contains no information about you, it is not shared, and clearing your browser storage destroys it permanently. Records of it are deleted after 24 hours of inactivity; only an anonymous running count survives.

2. Server logs, including your IP address

Like any web server, ours records requests. Our reverse proxy also uses your IP address to apply rate limits, which is what stops the board being flooded. This is processing of personal data and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. It rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and is not used to build any profile of you.

3. What you type into a listing

A product name, a link, a one-line description, a category, a country and — if you upload one — a logo. All of it is published deliberately: that is the point of a listing. Uploaded images are re-encoded to WebP on arrival, which discards the original file and any metadata inside it, including EXIF location data.

4. What you send with a commissioned page

If you buy a written page, the keywords and backlinks you supply are stored so the page can be written. Nothing else.

What is not collected

Third parties

Google's favicon service. Where a listing has no uploaded logo, the site shows the destination's favicon, fetched from google.com/s2/favicons. That means your browser makes a request to Google, and Google can see your IP address and which page requested it. It is the one third-party connection this site makes, and you can prevent it with any content blocker.

Fonts are served from our own domain, not from a font CDN, so no request leaves the site for typography.

Where the data lives

Everything is stored on a dedicated server in the European Union, in a single database file under our control. Nothing is sold, rented or shared with advertisers or data brokers. We will disclose data only where legally compelled to.

How long it is kept

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to contact@bidyoursaas.lol and we will answer within one month.

Note one limit honestly: erasing a listing does not erase the fact that money was committed to the board, because the ranking of every other listing depends on it. If you want a listing taken down, say so and we will discuss what is actually possible.

If you are unhappy with how we handle a request you may complain to the French supervisory authority, the CNIL, or to the authority in your own country.
